    THUTHUKANI TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS (PTY) LTD IS A CYBER-SECURITY SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES COMPANY, WHICH DELIVERS A SOLID FOUNDATION IN SECURITY OPERATIONS AND RESPONSE SOLUTIONS FOR ALL VERTICAL MARKETS ACROSS THE AFRICAN CONTINENT.

    Established in 2009, Thuthukani caters to the very specific security operations and response needs of its clients, through Enterprise Mobility (EM), Endpoint Security and Management, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Security Analytics and Orchestration solutions.

    The company partners with the best product vendors worldwide and enhances this with specialised skills. Thuthukani’s local technical and business expertise ensures that these resources are readily available to clients, and can be quickly deployed as needed.

    By focusing on the services and solutions segment of the market, the company is able to adopt a ‘best of breed’ approach that combines global technology with local expertise. This enables it to deliver one-stop solutions, accompanied by strong domain knowledge and an understanding of local conditions. Thuthukani aligns infrastructure, financial, technical, product and marketing resources to ensure that it crafts the best possible technology solutions for customers, thereby exceeding their expectations.

    Despite choosing to strategically aligned itself with IBM and Fujitsu – the company has, for example, adopted the IBM Immune security strategy and portfolio and is recognised as an Expert Select Partner and Qualified Service Partner by Fujitsu – Thuthukani remains product agnostic. Furthermore, it is specialised across six of the seven technology layers for strategic and third party products and can apply this approach in homogeneous and/or heterogeneous environments.

In order to better facilitate this, the company has also established long-standing relationships with leading companies worldwide.     Thuthukani not only draws on a combination of the products of industry leading international vendors and its own capabilities and expertise, but it is also able to tap into the business consulting, marketing, financial and various other resources of its Holding Company. This ensures the company is able to deliver genuine Quality of Service (QoS) throughout the total engagement life cycle.

    The holding company – Thuthukani IT Services – is 100% black-owned and brings more than 15 years of successful local market business experience to the table, Moreover, it holds 100% shares in Tasima, 25.1% shares in Fujitsu South Africa and 75% shares in Atio.

    The holding company has organised itself in such a manner as to ensure that each business within the group can sell, deliver and operate autonomously and professionally within its areas of specialisation. However, with large engagements that require a more integrated services approach, individual businesses are able to pursue and fulfil specific and complementary services and functions, enabling the Group as a whole to ensure delivery of a complete, high quality service.

    The various businesses within the Group comprise:

    Thuthukani Technology Solutions – sales, solutions design, business development, vendor/partner/alliance management and managed services

    Tasima – implementation services, operational sustaining services, support, facilities, infrastructure, application development and managed services

    Fujitsu – international and global guidance, influence, coverage and capabilities, with technology association and manufacturing (it is the third largest IT company in the world)

Furthermore, the company supports all operations in SA through its information network, further minimising unnecessary investment in supporting services.

    Thanks to sister company, Tasima, it has access to a national coverage which includes, but is not limited to:

    • End User Management. This comprises:

    In excess of 1 200 sites nationally

    Handling close to 2 000 hardware- and software-related support calls per month

    A backline support team that resolves in excess of 75% of calls without requiring a site visit

    Support for more than 5 000 PCs, 4 000 printers, scanners, UPS solutions, touch screen PCs, routers, network switches and 3G network devices, including a VOIP telephony system connected to nine provincial call centres

    A localisation and enterprise development model that has a support and delivery ecosystem that includes small IT companies (SMMEs) in each province. These are utilised to deploy and support IT infrastructure and hardware across the provinces. This, in turn, provides an extensive national footprint across SA (See map below)

    Managing, for the last three years, to prevent any penalties from the tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with clients, due to dedication and quality workmanship
